EVEN function in Google Sheets

Rounds a number up to the nearest even integer.

=EVEN(value)

EVEN syntax and parameters

One argument, one required.

  • valuenumberRequired

    The value to round to the next greatest even number. If value is negative, it will be rounded down to the next negative even number with greater absolute value.

  1. Up to the next even number — seats in pairs, 7 becomes 8:

    =EVEN(B2)

  2. Negatives move away from zero: −3.2 becomes −4:

    =EVEN(-3.2)
