Frequently Asked Questions
- Yes — start on the Free plan, no credit card. Free includes the full editor, the visual formula builder, and roughly 20 AI generations a month. Upgrade to Pro when you want a larger monthly AI budget and no limits on tabs, snippets, or variables, or to Business when your team needs shared snippets and seats.
- Pro and Business are billed monthly (cancel anytime) or annually (at least two months free on the yearly plan). Business is priced per seat. All recurring payments are managed via our secure payment portal — Stripe.
- Yes. You can upgrade or downgrade at any time from your billing portal — proration is automatic. On Business you can add or remove seats during the billing cycle and we'll only charge you for the time used. Cancel and you simply drop back to the Free plan.
- Our first 100 subscribers keep the Pro or Business price they sign up at for as long as their subscription stays active on that plan, monthly or annual, even if list prices go up later. On Business that includes seats you add later.
- Absolutely. Formula Foundry doesn't store your spreadsheet data — all computations happen inside your Google Sheets™ or Microsoft Excel™. We only store your name, email address, and snippets, which can be removed by request anytime. We comply with Google's security standards for Google Workspace™ add-ons.
- We're here for you. All users get access to our online documentation and contact forms. We also love feedback — many of our newest features came directly from user suggestions. Business customers get priority support, and Enterprise customers get a dedicated account manager.
