Converts text to lowercase

=LOWER(text)

LOWER syntax and parameters

One argument, one required.

  • textstringRequired

    The text you want to convert to lowercase. LOWER does not change characters in text that are not letters.

    =LOWER(B2)

  2. A case-insensitive comparison of two entries:
